On the 1 Jan 2024 I ordered 3 x 3 pin 2.5 mm straight 7" cables from China . Very hard to find a supplier for this particular item. Well the tracking in China as it went throught their mailing system was first class. Now the package arrived in the UK on the 16 Jan 2024 , zero tracking and the item should have arrived a couple of days ago ,, but it hasn't. Now it is expected on the 24 Jan 2024. What a disgusting mailing service we have here in the UK, even ebay wanted a feed back so had had to put "still waiting" .I have no idea who should be delivering it here in the UK My guess it is either Royal Mail as all our post now arrives several days after being sent

It used to be the same here in East Sussex until recently. Delivery service has noticably got worse in the last few months. I can forsee us having to go to the local post office to collect in the future it is that bad. I put it down to excessive house building around her and the infrastructure can't cope. Not just building 3/4 houses but in the hundreds (huge estates ) taking up any farm land avaiable. Since we moved here about 9 years ago all our allowed walks across farm land have gone. Property prices have gone through the roof. Ours alone has gone up at least £300,000 if not more

What do you expect from a large company infrastructure, with dwindling usage and staffing contracts that don't resemble the crap zero hour contracts of similar companies?
 
exactly.I have worked for a large company in the past, ie BT, and those at the top don't have a clue about working practices , only concerned about profit, how much they get paid and sharholders. I opened my eyes to what was happening and got out to run my own business

Perhaps they're still trying to figure out what the order is for?

I've tried a search and can't find anything with that description.
 
I rarely wait longer than 10 days for anything from China.
Most stuff goes through s few central warehouses in the UK, where it is removed from the freight boxes and forwarded to the purchaser.

Most of them use Evri, but some use RM.

It has taken longer than usual, but it is not exactly long yet :)

I think this is the case with the majority of companies in this country now. Arseholes (who can talk the talk) at the top, supported by the brains below.

Who was providing the tracking data..............i.e. how do you know it arrived in the UK?

Everything I have bought that has its origin from outside the UK (not China or eBay) can be was trackable by the courier/Postal system not by the supplier themselves.

It is odd that the supplier has not stated the service used? AFAIKnew all such delivery systems have international partner arrangements for tracking data.

Hopefully they will arrive eventually.

I too am a little curious, sounds like...maybe......computer cables to connect fans :thinking: i.e. 3 x 3 means 3 off 3......etc?

well ithas just arrived.
To satisy Box Brownie this is the item very hard to get

7inch straight 3 pin 2.5mm cable

and it is to replace this curled one from remote control to camcorder

as was

which is a lot tidier and looks more professional
I could only find one supplier and they only had 4 now just one left as I grabbed 3

Unfortunately a board's key responsibility is to the shareholders.
 
just tested them and one of the 3 is faulty, will have to do a continuity test later. contacted the supplier for a replacment. glsd \i orders 3 as I actually really need 2 and possible just 1 if anotrher goes faulty as well
just read on the packet it was delivered to the wrong address. Pity they don't teach postmen to read before employing them
It gets to something when one has to over order to get enough items that work. Needless to say who is "PI** OFF"

You do know that cables like this are widely available on the likes of Amazon, eBay, Kenable, CPC Farnham, Lindy etc etc.
 
Not for the length of 7 inches which I mentioned in the first the post. Another who has trouble reading a post properly

I'd have called that a short cable with 2.5mm stereo jack plugs at both ends.
