Having been battling for years to get accurate printouts, I invested in a ColorMunki, thinking it would be the answer to my problems, however although it's better, it's still not matching my display. Printouts mostly come out too dark, sometimes the colours are quite off. I've made sure i've calibrated my display, and I did the printer matching utility with the device and it created an ICC profile. I print with Photoshop set to determin colours, colour management off, and am using Photo Paper Pro (although yesterday I bought some Illford classic photo paper, and don't think i'll ever be going to back to gloss).
I installed the ICC profile for this paper yesterday too, but am still seeing much innacuracy like I was with the Canon Photo Paper Pro.
Oh, i'm using a Canon 6700D.

Just wondered if anyone could help out, as the amount of paper and ink i've wasted over the years is ridiculous!

Forgot I had another thread from months ago. Shows how long i've been having this ridiculous problem. Please close.

You may need to join the forum (free to join), but Stuart has a colour management DVD available. Very highly recommended by all who have used it. You may need to PM Stu to find out when it will be available, as the eStore is being updated at the moment, although I believe it's almost complete and products will be available for order soon.
The link specific to colour management?

The Little Photoshop and also worth a look here

It was an ongoing problem for me to get decent prints, and took ages to sort out. Just one of the forms of digital hell I've suffered from over the last few years!

If I remember correctly I found the solution almost accidentally. In photoshop go

view>proof setup>custom , then search for and click on the profile for your printer/paper/ink combo.

view>print colours is relevant as well; this could be soft-proofing as mentioned by chappers above.

Good luck. Hope it works for you.

I see I've posted this twice.... blond moment.
