Evening good peeps
any ideas on how to free a sticky shutter on a pen f 1/2 frame

basically press the shutter release and some times have to move the film advance to trigger the shutter
:help:

It sounds like it just needs a clean is all - if you are lucky. If not then the lens/shutter assy has become a little loose (doesn't take much) and the shutter button will no longer go down far enough to fire. Easy to check - use a pokey thing and if the shutter fires every time then you need to take the top cover off and "introduce" a piece of packing/foam/similar between the top cover and the VF assembly. If it is the sticky shutter it's lens off and small amount of lighter fluid and work the shutter a few times (making sure the fluid does not fall through onto the rear element).

Thanks Arthur

The shutter fires more often when using a poky stick however still sticks.

I am afraid my knowledge of how this works is non existent.

If I take the lens off, I can see the mirror etc
Where would I put the lighter fluid? and how would I do it?

If I were you, I wouldn't... just keep working the shutter for a while.

like that idea Arthur
Was getting a bit worried that i might break something

Thanks for your help though:thumbs:
