Steam and Heat

Whats the best way of capturing this ?

Had a boiling hot cuppa coffee this morning and it looked great next to the window. And my window overlooks the cityscape. Epic shot in my head. Just didn't know the best way to capture the heat coming off the coffee

Any tips ?

I would try a flash sitting off to the side, lighting up the steam.

I don't have a separate flash, something im looking at acquiring though.
