Since being made redundant last week, I've signed up for a Photography course in Nottingham. It is only a basic course one evening a week for six weeks, but then there is an advanced one starting after xmas, so I thought best to start at the begining etc.

I'm really looking forward to this as lifes been a bit crapy past few weeks and I've not had my camera out for ages :eek:
 
I can imagine life has been tough being made redundant...so I hope this offers you a new insight and chance to do something different! :)

Cheers guys, yep can't wait, when I went to collect my student card today, I was surounded by young whipper snappers, even though I'm 33 I felt old enough to be their dads :(
 
hehe which college? (guessings it's a college?) I went to "New College Nottingham" and did a bit of photography there, then they got rid of the dark room :(

Don't forget Adobe do "student rates" with vast savings on their products
CS3 if you don't have it ( and want it) circa £150 :thumbs:
 
Good luck with the course, My wife started her degree at 40 with the 18 year olds and loved it, we had an 18 year old daughter at the time, so she was just like Mum to them.

Hope the work situation looks up for you

Yep got my eye on a new Mac already, went in today to see what discounts I get. I get my redundancy through in a few weeks, so will be purchasing then.

haha excellent :) exact same building too :D Are they doing any film stuff or is it all digital? Be interesting to know if they have got a new dark room.
