Well the first two episodes weren't terrible. Not sure on the new Klingons though. They also made a big thing about the Female captain and first officer..... thats didn't last long.
 
First two episodes are a prelude it seems, the series proper starts with ep 3. I too wasn't sure about the Klingons but we'll see how they go.
 
I really enjoyed them, and I like that it's delving into the differences between the klingon houses. I also like the casting, everyone seemed to fit their rolls really well, particularly the Vulcan guy, can't remember his name, James Frain really suits being a Vulcan.
Not sure what's going to happen with the future episodes though, I've a feeling it will go back to the seven years since Michael joined the ship, because the Captain is in 15 episodes according to IMDB.
 
That's an odd way to do it. The captain being in 15 episodes but dying in the second episode. I have read that the alternate universe does come into play at some point. Don't know if thats the one from the original series or DS9 or the JJ Abrams one.

Good chance she'll feature as a flashback in each episode, similar to her vulcan flashbacks. 7 years of memories serving together and now she's starting from scratch alone there has to be some attachment to humanity/emotions to give her the strength to get through her troubled times.
