Midlands Star Trail locations near Shrewsbury?

Hi,

I'm searching for some decent locations to do some star Trail photography or wire wool spinning near Shrewsbury or further away. I have done Moreton Corbet castle which was good but I'm searching for more locations with good foreground interest

Wales is an option, any suggestions? :)

Lake District is too far away considering I would only be devoting the evenings to it

I can't post a link yet as this is my 3rd post.

One thing that might help you in gauging how dark your sky is going to get is a website called Dark Site Finder. It shows the levels of light pollution that you are likely to have and thus how good you're going to get a nice dark sky.
 
Lilleshall abbey, Bulidwas Abbey, Haughmond Abbey, Wenlock Piory,Lady White Priors, Wroxeter Roman city, to name but a few there are loads of places near by :)
