Stabilo Highlighter pens sold like inkjet printers!

I have a few Stabilo colours and one is now running out, so thought I would remind myself that it was possible to buy refill inks.

Yes you can but I was perplexed to find that the refill cost is more than that of new pen. Far from encouraging to "go green"......... hence my subject title that when it comes to consumer grade inkjet printers there are some that look cheaper to buy a new printer than the replacement inks!!!

A good question, I should have said the refills are described as single pen refills.......though one note I think I recall said that depending on just how empty the pen is a refilling of it might leave some in the sachet...to be added later!

As I read it the sachet has a seal in the top that once broken exposes any remaining ink to drying out???
