Spyder 3 Elite and OS X 10.7.1

I have an iMac from 2010 running OSX 10.7.1 and I use a Spyder 3 Elite with software version 4.02....AND my problem is that the annoying Spyder Utility icon will not stop being red!! No matter how many times I've calibrated the monitor, ensured the ambient light conditions are as they were when the calibration was done, it never turns black!!
What am I doing wrong?

There is now software beta 4.03 maybe that will sort out your problem.

For some reason the calibration companies are way behind on getting software for Lion, x-rite have JUST put out a first beta software for the eye one range of calibrators, with a long list of known issues attached.

Cheers, I'll give it a go, anythings got to be better than what I've got at the moment. Today it has decided to ignore the profile I want to use and will only accept the default Apple one!!!!!

My Spyder 3 was doing that with OS10.6 too.

No, still doing it! I might when time permits start from scratch. I can't work out if the problem is the position of the iMac and a varying light source or a software/hardware conflict. Having said that, even experimenting at midnight, where I can control the ambient light, it still does it!

It only did it to me when the display went to sleep.
