Hi does anybody have this on their pc and what do you think of it ?

It's good, but malwarebytes is probably better. There are fake versions of both so be careful where you download it from.

Malwarebytes is my preference, but I run the web browser Sandboxed as added security.

steve could you explain that for me "sandboxed"i've heard the term but not sure what it means cheers mike.

No problem Mike. Sandboxie is a freeware program that isolates your PC from the web, have a look at there homepage HERE.

Yes PC only, you would have to run a VM, virutal machine, take a look at this list here.

Ok thanks for that does anybody know how they compare to superantispyware ? Sorry about all the questions....

I've been using SpyBot for longer than I had been using Ad-aware. The latter has been dropped in favour of malwarebytes
I've since switched from AVG to Avast but the latter doesn't run on my netbook without a BSOD so I now use BitDefender.
ZoneAlarm interfered with Alcohol 120% so use Comodo.

TBH I'd stick to built-in Windows firewall instead of comodo/zone alarm etc. It's very serviceable. Malwarebytes is probably the best malware scanner I can think of right now.

Microsoft Essentials is really quite good. In a previous life, I used to help with virus and spyware removal, both Spybot and Ad-aware have had their day. Malwarebytes gets my vote for a second layer of protection.

I use SpyBot S&D, among other security programs - Malwarebytes, Avast. Difficult to know if it is any good because none of the security things have found anything nasty on my PC for years.

Dave
