After weeks of being unable to get out in the woods due to the carp weather we finally got out to Brede High Woods this morning and were delighted to see Bluebell and anemone shoots poking their heads through the ground. As we carried on I despaired of finding anything other than the dogs to photograph when we came across our first primroses.

We also found some daffodils that were in flower. I think these are probably escapees from when there were farmhouses in the woods before Hastings borough council compulsory purchased the land in the 30s.
