That doesn't sound a pleasant experience. Hopefully the guy makes a full recovery , gear can thankfully be replaced.

There was a stolen equipment thread on here to report any stolen equipment in the hope to it being past on in the classifieds. It good they had the serial numbers, it's one of the reasons I have my nikon gear registered on nikons website.

This is terrible, I live a short distance from this park and have walked around it with my camera alone many times. I will think twice before I do this again.
