Hi Guys,
I have just signed up for TP and this is my first post.
Basically I am after some advice. I have been doing sports photography for about two years now. Mostly football, but I enjoy all sports amd love going out taking pictures. I lived in Bedfordshire and was getting my pictures of Sunday league football published in the local papers. The sports editor of one of the papers asked me to cover some local Boxing events for him. At the time I had an Sony A300 with a minalta "beercan" lens. I have recently upgraded my equipment to a Nikon D700 with a VRii f2.8 70-200mm lens. I am currently learning how to use my new piece of kit. I have had to move to Colchester and sadly can't get back to Bedfordshire to continue doing the Sunday league pictures . I have emailed the local paper here in Colchester offering my services but sadly have had no response.
I was hoping someone could give me some guidance on how I can take the next step in the world of sports photography, I have a contact at a Championship club and attended a match last season and hope to be going again this season, it was agreed that non of my pictures would be published as i don't have the necessary accreditation, but as a learning curve it was a brilliant experience.
I am now a bit stuck and don't know how to progress or begin to make any pocket money from my pictures.
