Sports Mode: Blurry Pictures

I have a Canon 400D and when I put the camera in 'sports' mode all the pictures come out blurred.
I am using 2 lenses, 18-55mm & 55-200mm both USM but not IS
I have tried just a stationery object but still come out blurry.

What am i doing wrong ?:help::help:

can you upload some into your gallery on here for us to have a look at
the reason is that you can tell how the picture was taken from the EXIF information.
would be really helpful

also it could be a few things, if the shutter speed is too low, then it could be camera shake. for me, the best thing to do with the camera you have is to learn how sports mode works...and then do it all yourself with M, Av or Tv mode.
so sports mode tries to lower the shutter speed; normally by opening the aperture to a lower number and increasing the ISO to 800. on your camera though you can try an ISO or 1600 if you go manual and try it again for a lower shutter time

so post up some examples and people will be able to help you more.
I assure you they won't try to criticise the photos for no reason...just help you out on the technical side

Yes but also tries to keep the exposure.. therefore if its a slow lens and very poor lighing it has no choice but to use a slower shutter.
