For those that sell A3s do they sell well?

What type of photos tend to be good sellers?

I sell maybe 1 A3 for every 200 7x5 and 1 A4 for every 100 7x5 ..thats a rough estimate

best sellers are junior football cup finals at a half decent ground and sportrait type pics.. ie one player with ball... worse sellers are mens football

Thanks Tony just the detailed info I was looking for.

I sell quite a few A3 with multi images especially for the ice skating. These I sell for £50 (12x8/A4 £25). Its a classic case of if you dont offer it you'll never sell it.

Thanks Graham.

I will try and do a montage when the new football season starts, get a print and gauge interest.

Ooh they sound nice.

Thinking I can shoot the kids teams through the season then offer them. It would be shooting on-spec with the hope of sales.

If you had stopped after the first five words of your second sentence there that would have been perfect.

Never seen anyone do any sort of real trade on A3 really - but if you start everyone else might follow?

Just thinking of something that might sell well as an alternative to T&I.

I would still want to do T&I but I THINK it could something worth offering.

When I answered your question I was reffering to photo sales.. not posters made up from photos.. different thing all together.. also my sales are after on web.. also I only have a 7x5 button and they have to link for other sizes...all of which can go towards amount of sales..

Hi Tony

I really appreciated your first post as it gave me an idea about numbers for web sales. So web sales together with montages it could be worthwhile the investment.

Forgot to mention I only offer these as websales not on-site as take far too long for parents to decide. You may also have noticed last week I sold more of the Trio prints than traditional T&I. As these were all 12x8 it looks like you may just have to invest in that extra printer befgore long!

Graham yes I had noticed that about the trios. I remember a really nice one of three keeper pics I had taken. All were in focus as well :D

So yes I think the 12x8 printer will be a good investment. Now where is Mark's sale (or a good wack off the media)
