Hi all,

Im looking at getting a photo I took printed onto canvas for my wall. What I would like to do would be to split the photo into 4 sections and then buy 4 canvas's, each with a corner of the photo (top right, top left, bottom right, bottom left) So when put together it becomes the full photo...

This is the eBay auction im looking at for the canvas prints: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....akeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en

Just wondering how I would split the image...would it be simple in Photoshop?

Also I would have to inform the seller not to "wrap around" the image onto the frame, otherwise Id lose a bit..

Any help appreciated :)
Thanks

Ps - image size is standard 40D resolution (3888x2592), would this need to be increased?

first of all i would send a message asking if it was possible to not have the image wrap around and so give a white edge, as this would make everything alot easier.

with the white edge this is how i would do it

if you change your image size pick something like 150dpi and 60" by 40" the computer shall add the extra pixels (interpolation) needed to fill the size. this will give you quite a big file size. and image dimensions of something like 9000x6000pxls.

then simply go to edit Canvas size pick out 30" by 20" and position the given frame to one corner click done, then save that as a new image, then edit undo canvas size and repeat for the different corners.

i don't know if there is an easier way, but thats how i've done it in the past.
