I'm looking at getting a few more spiggots for lighting stands and seeing that AFAIA there's no SpiggotPriceBuster.com I was wondering if anyone could suggest anywhere cheaper than the usual suspects, i.e Calumet, Flash Centre et al

Is this what your after?
Spigots

3 for £13.45 posted.

That's the price for a single spigot, unfortunately Calumet's own (Chinese made) are about the cheapest for the 'industry standard' spigot. However they now no longer seem to be selling much through Amazon so no free delivery option. If you want a lower price then it's back to eBay for something like this. Shame the OP didn't give a link to the specific type of spigot required, as it's all a bit of guesswork otherwise!

Ah sorry, it's just the standard spigot that screws into the top of a lighting stand and then in turn either takes a tilt head or allows you to screw something else on top. Not dissimilar to this one.

It doesn't look like there's anywhere in particular that's good for them then, unless anyone else has come across somewhere?

This spigot adapter is useful if the male end is only required for light duties such as a flash shoe. It's steel, which is preferable to the aluminium alloy female adapters the seller also has. Note that part B has two 1/4-inch threads. It's slightly shorter than the brass adapter supplied with a Manfrotto 026 Lite Tite and has no machined flat, but is okidoke and a lot lighter than the double-male spigots listed above.
