Have searched the forum & can't see that this has been asked before.
Basically my question is if you have a 270ex on a 450D does "high speed sync" mean that you can set shutter speeds faster than 1/200?
The reason for my question is that I took a couple of shots on holiday using the "pop up" flash as a fill-in, but was surprised to find out later that the images were significantly over-exposed (I wanted to shoot AV mode at f4 & about 1/800).
As you've probably guessed, I'm fairly new to my DSLR & was simply unaware that the shutter would default to 1/200 {max} with the flash deployed!!!!
I don't currently own an external flash (but am looking at possibly buying the 270EX).
Thanks in advance for any comments/help.
