Acetone would work if you have all the bits

I've broken the foot on by canon twice. £40 repair job

EDIT: Got mine done at Colcester Camera Repairs, may be a bit more with the VAT now.

I do have the bits, might try some glue but that would be a fiddly job...

Need to sort out a way of adding weights to the stands in future.

Cheers guys.

Not sure I souls trust glue to hold it to be honest!

yeah I've used sendean cameras to reattach my 430 shoe, genuine canon part a pucker job and v fast turnaround

That's just happened to me - mint SB28 now missing half the hotshoe. Fixation will be getting a call ASAP.....

Nikon used to do it while you waited for about £12.

You're not the first person to do that....

Sorry if you already know this, but flashguns use high voltage and can give a very nasty electric shock. Please be careful.

Same happened to my Nissin last month, and it's now in for repair.

As Jonathan said, you certainly aren't the first! :)

I think you could just order the broken part replacement. Try calling Lehmans, and then **carefully** do it yourself.

The wind trick happened to me also, but I was more lucky to have it on grass and mud - so all I lost was a cheap umbrella (the softbox survived a similar fall)

I must say Konig stands are barely suitable for indoor use. Outdoors, a stand should be more like 190xprob aluminium triopd (wide legs spread and heavy)
