My main studio lights are Bowens S Fit. I picked up some old Bowens Monolites in lovely condition which I am using at home. I am trying to track down a speed ring that will let me use my S-fit modifiers on them. All the speed ring adapters I see are only 3.7" where as the Monolites are more like 6".

Also, as an alternative solution I was looking for second hand accessories but cannot find old fitting modifiers *deleted*

Any advice?

Sorry, no For Sale/Wanted posts outside the classifieds.

What you have is the old Bowens 'L' fitting which was discontinued many years ago, probably about 30 years or so.
Back then, there were hardly any modifiers available anyway, so even if you find something on Ebay it's likely to be
1. Limited
2. Junk
And, as far as I'm aware, there has never been an L > S adapter. A decent engineer may be able to make one though, using one of the Elinchrom > S fit adapters available on Ebay as a donor. But this wouldn't be a perfect solution because of the distance.

Any advice?

Hrmm I had some old Quadmatic heads with the L fitting, I could use the Wafer speeding and it would accept L or S fit adapters without problem.

The size of the adapter is around 5.5 - 6 inches and that matches up to most of the other gear I have (modern Bowens pieces, some Calumet etc) so I'm wondering what those 3.7" adapters you have are.
