Anyone know of a modeling light for speedlights? I just knocked this up

and I have to say, I have learned more in an hour waving this around , than I have in the last week moving the flashes about on stands etc.The CFL crappo light bulb is covered in a foil tube, aiming straight along the path of the flash and is on a long pole and gives you a quick idea of where to place the flash. You can then turn off the light with a switch chord on the pole, and fire the flash from the exact spot or hold the fixture in your hand and use the switch on the head.

Bloody good learning tool, if not that beautiful to look at but speeding up my light naggering skills and it only cost about a tenner too:love:.

Well pleased with that.

Quite. That's why you were recently advised to get studio heads in the first place...

I don't doubt you are right Hoppy, but I do love to play, and its the type of light and the knowledge to visualise how it will look, not the kit that delivers it, that I'm interested in.:|
