Spec me a new tripod ball head (£50)

Looking for decent upgrade to my cheap Hama which is great with 4/3 and u4/3 gear, but the ball head starts to struggle with a 5D on it. Will be using primarily with 5D and small manual glass.

Getting a bit overwhelmed with the options available - anyone got specific suggestions :p?
 
I use a Manfrotto 496RC2 with QR plate, an excellent head IMVHO.

They can be had without the QR plate.
 
Giottos MH1312-652 Ball head should hold it ok its only when you stick a long telephoto lens on it starts to stuggle at aournd £50-£60, I upgraded from that one to the more sturdier Giottos MH1311-652 Ball head although its a bit over your budget at around £72.

If you realy cant spend more than £50 i have the Giottos MH5001-652 3way head, although not a ball head, its extremely well built and will hold just about anything and only costs £45.

The Redsnapper RSH-12 is hard to beat at around £50.

You'll get a TP discount too. :thumbs:
