Has anyone seen the London City Dashboard? I think it's quite cool and I'd like to do something similar for my business.

But how to display it? The London mayor has a version of it running on a wall of iPads in his office, which is illustrated on this BBC News story (towards the bottom). That's complete overkill as far as I'm concerned, but I don't know what other options I might have.

So here's the challenge: spec me something that will do the job on a display of size "X" for a price of "Y". Obviously I want "Y" to be as small as possible for a given "X", and I may have to look at a range of "values for X".

We use Geckoboard on a 47" TV in our office. It is also on 2 other TVs around the office.

Also look at Ducksboard.

They both offer standard integrations or you can create your own.

We have 3 dashboards with geckoboard which loop, each being displayed for 30 seconds.

We link in Zendesk, JIRA, Google Analytics, Pingdom, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube (might be some others, but I've forgotten)

The 47" was £650 from Amazon (LG)

Thanks Dale. I'd never heard of Geckoboard but it looks interesting. Most of the data I'd want to display would come from our own systems, so I'd sort of assumed that we'd build the dashboard ourselves, but that does look like a convenient option. I'll look ito it (and other similar software) before deciding.

Any other hardware suggestions out there? Add in a basic PC to drive it, and that 47" TV would cost £1000. I was hoping to spend somewhat less...

nope ;)

TV is a smart TV so you can use the built in web browser.

Or you could use it as a 2nd monitor on another PC already there (or any old PC as it only needs to run Chrome/IE)

If it is from your own systems, you can use XML or JSON to get the data to Geckboard (Ducksboard also works the same way I believe).

I love our Geckoboard as I can view it anywhere, so can monitor stuff when I'm not in the office.
