Hi Folks,
Heading down to Cornwall on Saturday for 1 week away from the Rat Race.
Just me, the dog and my camera bag, so was looking for some good locations for walking/stunning photo opportunities.
Im going to be based just outside Looe, but willing to travel to Falmouth, Padstow, Plymouth, Port Isaac etc.
Im looking for good Sunsets, sunrises, fishing ports and areas related to legend and myths. Thanks.
(Also the odd good Dog Friendly pub would be useful).

Polperro is a couple of miles from Looe- Stunning little fishing village, one of my fave places..Not been for a few years but it was always prety dog friendly

You can't really fail in that area. Looe itself is quite pretty. Charlestown

Also if you don't mind a drive to the north coast Tintagel castle is stunning at sunrise (its not as far as you might think)

Make sure you get down to West Looe. You'll find loads of nice coffee shops to start with and then get on the coast path. Miles & miles of coastline for you (& dog!) to enjoy. It's right on your doorstep as well.

I'm biased but I prefer the north coast of Cornwall but that's a long long drive for you

I went Cornwall in the summer for the first time and absolutely loved it. Took the dog as well and found he was made welcome everywhere. Polperro was lovely, also I heard that St agnes head is also nice. travelled around a bit whilst there would love to go back. :)

Up on the St Agnes Beacon is lovely. You can park there for & walk for miles along the coast. Our dog loves it if you walk all the way to Porthtowan there's a great bar for a snack. I love it there & the views are phenomenal

Got to agree St Agnes Head / Beacon is a fantastic area, the cliffs are spectacular. Iv being trying to get some shots of the Choughs which are there apparently, but iv yet to see them, fingers crossed.

Donk, if you should happen to see a biggish fella there with a Nikon D7000 getting out of or parked up in a Honda CRV plus a nutty liver and white Springer Spaniel running amok, be sure to say hello..

Mike

Will do Mike, haven't been there for a while since I moved to Devon but still love it up there

Ah ok, Im usually there once maybe twice a week especially now with winter
coming in, the seas there are quite spectacular to watch in a strong gale, plus its free parking and a lot of it :)

I'd have to agree, that stretch of coast for a couple of miles either side of the St Agnes beacon is stunning.

We spent a week in a cottage in St Agnes in June this year and had an amazing time, got some great shots but it wasn't difficult with those surroundings.

We loved having a nosey round the abandoned tin mines too.

Thanks

Andrew
