Sounds like it might be a tad breezy darn sarf

I heard that too, but its as calm as a calm thing (at the moment) here in MK

Yep I had a vindaloo with all the trimming ,

Just driven from Watford to Worthing, it was appalling! Standing water, slashing rain and very windy.

compounded by the f***wits with their fog lights on :runaway:

Thunder, lightning, gales and flooding in Devon right now, glad to be tucked up indoors.

Omg it's the end of the world ,no one will be able to get to the golf course on Sunday ,all the residents of Dorset will be evacuated up north ,well Somerset anyway ,doomed wer'e all doomed :help::naughty:

I blame Brexit and Trump

It was raining but calm when I went to bed.
Woke at 2am and the storm was in full flow.
The cherry tree that was covered in golden leaves is now almost naked, and the garden is covered in golden leaves.
The wheelie bin has shuffled to a different location, and the Wisteria is also now in the buff.

It's still blowing a gale, but the rain has all but stopped.

I hope it calms down by this afternoon, I'm meant to be jetting off somewhere from Heathrow!

It was on the news last night that some restaurant signs blew over in Brighton.

It must be awful.

A bit breezy on the A38 last night - 50 was about as fast as I felt safe. Not so much because of the wind as because of the horizontal rain and huge puddles (especially on the bit they recently spent millions to improve [among other things] the drainage...) Nothing missing or flat in the garden (other than most of the autumn colours). Glorious sunny day now. Cat didn't much like the single clap of thunder that seemed to go on forever - too soon after bonfire night!

Here in NW Scotland it is wall to wall blue sky and not a breathe of wind.:)

Dave

80mph winds apparently, I can believe that. Was bad when I went to bed about midnight and worse at 2am here in Southampton area.

Not going to be helped by today's high tide and rain for the next 48hrs starting again tonight..

Flood alerts in Lymington, Keyhaven, Rushington, Eling and Yarmouth

An "interesting" night in my static home .....

Unsurprisingly the cat wasn't keen to go out despite desperately needing to!

b****r! stay safe!

Nothing here save a drop of rain over night, same now, with just a gentle breeze.
