Hi all, a little bit confused here. I had a logik soundbar conected via the headphone socket on my tv this had to be replaced to what i believe was a fault, excess buzzing getting louder over time. Plugged new one in today and its doing the same thing, it is connected by red/white phono leads and to get the sound through to the soundbar i have to use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm lead. Also as I was putting the leads in to the tv it buzzed like mad. Is it a fault of the tv or not? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Is it shielded? If not then I would hazard a guess at electrical current interference.

Try moving and speaker wires away from sockets/electrical leads etc. the best you can and see if that helps

Maybe a bit obvious, but make sure the 3.5mm plug is fully pushed home or else it will cause a buzz.

Also a bit obvious but i'm sat here with a 42" plasma muted and its buzzing like a badger! something to do with a cracked something in the TV itself apparently and not the speakers at all. The buzz changes with the brightness of the images on the screen!

Can I ask why you are connect via the headphone sockets ?
Have you tried an optical cable ?

Cant do optical as my tv doesnt have one, its a 3 yr old technica.
Just tried the brightness level, it was on ecohome mode, took it off that and buzzing has gone!
