I have finished processing the photos for a wedding and put all the JPEGs into one folder. These are from four different cameras so the order of the photos is all over the place until I go to VIEW/SORT BY/DATE TAKEN and this sorts them by the date and time data embedded in the pictures.

All well and good. But then I've transferred the folder to a presentation USB stick for the couple but when I go into that same folder on the USB the photos are disordered again and the sort by date taken option is not there, only date created which is not the same.

Will the couple be able to see these photos in order so they just plug in the usb and play a slideshow?

The OS will be sorting by file name and doesn't know about the exit data that contains the time the photo was taken.

You haven't said was editing app you are using where you are sorting the images by time taken but could be Lightroom. If that's the case you can batch rename the files based on the date and time taken.

E.g. YYYYMMDDHHMMSS### (where ###) simply increment should you gave more than one photo taken in the same second eg. Bursts)

By doing this you are forcing the OS to sort the files in the correct order.
