I find the peddling of your own wares for profit to inexperienced punters even more so.
The OP should search for 'Interfit EX150' on here, POTN, Flickr images and other suitable forums and listen to people whose opinion is valid, i.e., users. If you have never used them or have incorrect information about them, then don't bother.
I should probably just ignore you, but I'll set the record straight instead...
All that I ever do on TP is to answer questions, and I only answer the questions that I feel I can help with - for example I don't answer many questions on hotshoe flashes because there are people who know far more about them than I do. But I think that most people accept that I do know about studio flash, so I do answer questions about studio flash.
I have a very good range of studio flash here, but a lot of years ago I started with nothing and had to make do with bodge-ups and because of this I know how to get good results with inadequate equipment, which makes it possible for me to answer questions on studio lighting from people who don't have the right equipment. Yes, I do recommend Lencarta where I feel that it's the right answer, but I also recommend other makes too, where I feel that another make will do the job better.
If you don't like what I have to say, then just ignore me. If you feel that I am misleading 'inexperienced punters' in some way, then report me to the admins - again.
And please don't assume that I have never used (or at least tested) any particular piece of equipment. People who have actually been to my studio know that I have a lot of different brands and models here, and in fact I test just about everything that is available in the UK.
People who been to my studio (including several TP members) have seen Elinchrom, Bowens, Hensel, Profoto and other brands in use here.
Going back to the specific point that you seem to object to, Interfit sell a range of flash heads under their name, and there are huge differences between the various models, which is to be expected. The question was about the EX150 head and I feel that I gave a reasonable response to the question. The fact of the matter is that quite a lot of different heads are sold under that name, and different heads have different accessory fittings. The link to the ones sold by Jessops doesn't seem to mention the accessory fitting, it may as you say be Elinchrom or it may not. All that I did was to point out that
this particular kit normally has a non-standard accessory fitting, which may limit the accessories you can get for it - this may not seem important now, but as your skills and interests develop it can be a real limitation.
Perhaps I should have said
this particular kit may have a non-standard accessory fitting, which may limit the accessories you can get for it - this may not seem important now, but as your skills and interests develop it can be a real limitation
but the difference between what I did say and what I could have said doesn't necessarily make me wrong.
As for searching on forums, yes why not? But you can find recommendations on forums for just about every bit of junk ever made, including some of the worst stuff sold on Ebay as 'professional lighting equipment' so you have to take just about anything you read on internet with a very large pinch of salt...
