I'm looking to get a Sony compact and have found the WX350, WX500 and HX60.
I've found the WX350 for £159.00, the WX500 for £229.00 and the HX60 for £199.00 and to me, it doesn't seem worth spending out more than £159.00 for the WX350, for use with family photos and videos anyway.
Looking at the specifications of each I can't see any discernible differences - particularly between the WX350 and WX500 other than the age difference of the models and a couple more video framerate options.
The WX500 does have a tiltable screen and the HX60 has separate exposure controls but I don't see why these add £70.00 and £40.00 respectively on top of the £159.00 WX350.
