Does anyone have this camera and know if it includes the digital level gauge found in the other SLT models? I've seen a couple of reviews that list it as a missing feature compared to the earlier models but then the official specification mentions it. Anyone used one and do you know if it is available?

Also while I am asking questions (although perhaps this would be better in another thread) does anyone know if recent cheap Sigma lenses such as "Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro" would work with continuous AF in video mode? Again I've seen a review that said this had been a problem but I wasn't sure why it would be.

I'd be very surprised if it didn't include the leveling display. All the other SLTs have it, including the a33 which the a35 replaced.

In theory any alpha mount lens will AF in video, but I say "in theory" because there was a specific incompatibility issue with some sigmas. Sigma were offering a free re-chip for some of the affected lenses for a while, but not for older models.

Of course, with video, focussing noise can be an issue. Older screw drive lenses can make a hell of a racket. SSM lenses are preferable unless using an external mic.

Thanks for the reply. I should have checked sooner as I think this has answered a longer question I posted about lens compatibility in the Basics forum. I had seen people talking about particular problems with certain Sigma lenses but then their was other discussion about auto focus not working in videos.
