Has anyone got any good experiences of these? The ones that allow you to thread an after market "standard" filter on?

Do they make the camera less pocketable, obviously yes as they add bulk but does it tip it over the edge of being "compact" or does it make them a little more "fragile" for putting in pockets etc?

Thanks in advance
Tim

Have you had a look at the carryspeed threaded filter adapters ? They attach to a metal ring that's adhesive on one side to stick to the camera and magnetic so that the threaded filter adapter can attch to it. The adhesive metal ring is thin enough that it makes virtually no difference to how compact the camera is. When you want to use a filter then just attach it to the filter adapter and click it onto the magnetic ring, when you're done just pull it back off.

I have a set but haven't had the chance to make much use of it. The magnet seems to be strong enough to hold the filter adapter or polariser I got with it easilly enough.

Thanks, I'll have a look at these.

Have a look at the Lensmate adaptors. Very thin ring which sticks to the camera. Then you mount the adaptor which has a49mm screw thread. Then screw in any 49mmfilter uv cpl etc

I recently bought a second hand rx100 and it works just fine. When the adaptor is not attached the camera is only about 2mm deeper.

Taken mine off as I will not use filters on this camera. So if you are interested it is for sale with a 49mm uv filter. Lol
