Hi there,

Has anyone got either of the following:

Sony SAL-70400G F4-5.6
Sony SAL-70200G F2.8

And if you have, how do they perform for motorsport photography.

I hope to upgrade my camera and lens next year to either a 550 or a good secondhand 700, and to go with the better body, i'd really like to get one of these lenses, (probably a 1.4X tc with the 200).
 
I have the 70-200/2.8. It's excellent IMO, way better than the person behind the camera in my case :naughty:. Focus is fast and accurate, if I point it at the right thing - it is big and heavy so I sometimes miss! Good job I only do this for fun...

I've had a house move in the meantime so the only event I attended recently I was working (course controller) and had no opportunity to take pictures. Don't have the 70-400, Andy (puddleduck) on here does or did.
