Sony Firmware update

I understand you can't update the latest firmware update for the Sony A7R ( !.10 ) if your running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.1 , is that right, be grateful for any advice.

Macs and sony updates go together like Steak and custard!

I thought i'd bricked my 5n after updating it on a mac and had to be rescued via a pc!

My advice wait until you have access to a windows pc.

I dont know why they choose this method, whats so wrong with putting a file on the root directory of the memory card and using a menu in camera.
