Sony Cyber-shot Summer

A photography competition run by Sony, with a chance to win a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T20 digital camera, and a four-day break in Paris or Ibiza worth over £3000.

URL: http://www.sonycybershotsummer.co.uk/

There is no immediate closing date but there will be a winner each week for the next 12 weeks, who bags a Cyber-shot DSC-T20 digital camera, and the 12 winners will then be entered into a final draw for the holiday prize.
:)

From the t&c
# On submitting an entry, each entrant irrevocably and exclusively grants and assigns to Emap with full title guarantee the entire copyright and all other rights of whatever nature in his/her entry for the full duration of such rights throughout the world
.

So if you don't win they can still use your image for nothing.

On submitting an entry, each entrant irrevocably and exclusively grants and assigns to Emap with full title guarantee the entire copyright in his/her entry, on the www.sonycybershotsummer.co.uk website, for the full duration of the campaign of such rights throughout the world.

The T&C's have been amended so the images can only be used on the www.sonycybershotsummer.co.uk website and only for the duration of the campaign. Hope that clarifys things a bit. :)

Its not often that I actually find something wrong with competition rules, but in this case...

6) Proof of age may be required before prizes can be claimed. Before a prize is awarded, the winner may be required to sign a statement of eligibility and liability/publicity release. Prize winners may be required to take part in promotional activity at Emap’s request and consents to their name, location and photograph being published for the purposes of this promotion and promoting Emap and its business.

So they want to use both the image AND the entrant? And if you dont agree then you dont get your prize??

Hmm that's odd. Is that a normal T/C? Has anyone seen such a thing before?
