Sony Batteries going cheap at Sainsbury's

Wigan Sainsbury's and possibly other branches are selling all Sony Batteries and chargers very cheap. The dearest Alkaline pack was about £1.70 yesterday and I bought 4 packs of 4 AA CycleEnergy NiMh 2000mAh Rechargeables for £3.06 per pack (normally £8). I could have had a charger and 2 batteries for £3.

Sony batteries are made by Sanyo and these are probably very similar to Eneloops. They claim to hold 90% of their charge for 6 months.

I've just spent about £30 on rechargable AAs and a charger fom 7dayshop otherwise I'd have been down to Sainsbury for a look.

They HAD some in bristol, but they were out of stock today.

If your after rechargeables it's better to ask Sainsbury's floor staff. I've a feeling that they only have 1 or 2 packs out at a time to cut down on theft.

They are often just round the corner from the Duracells.

northwich has lots of the charger and 2 battery pack, just under the memory cards.
