Sony alpha lens mount?

i am looking at purchasing a sigma 50mm macro lens but i am not sure whether it will fit my sony a350. the lens has a minolta fit, but i am not sure that it will fit my camera, as the person selling it used it on his minolta 8000i. Also i have heard that there are different minolta mounts. the mount i need is a minolta "a" mount i think! Does anyone now what a minolta 8000i uses?

I had a lens on my a100 from a minolta 7000i so i presume the 8000i would be the same

Google says:

All Konica Minolta AF lenses are compatible with this camera. MD and MC series lenses cannot be used.

thats good! I have one more thing the same person is selling a minolta flash gun, which he also used on his minolta 8000i would this fit my camera?
