I am going to be doing some filming, the camera will be mounted on a tripod and the subject will be a set distance away from the camera ...

Now the question is; I am looking to buy a 24mm Sigma lens which has AF but from what I can gather the AF is incompatible with my A65. As I only want to buy this lens and use it in MF, can I damage the camera in any way?

I don't think I can but want to be sure before buying it.

Thanks again :D

No is the simple answer- so long as manual is selected on the Camera as opposed to AF

I knew that would be the answer, thank you .... and if it does damage the camera at least I have someone to share the blame with :D

Not a problem- I'll PM you my adress and phone number :lol::lol::lol:

Sigma 24mm f/1.8 EX DG Macro is fully compatitble with all Sony Dslr/SLT's. If it's the discontinued 24mm f2.8 AF Super Wide II Macro then that one will not AF.
