Hi is there anyone that as a tamron 90mm on a sony a55 if so do you think its a good set up thanks 101kingdom.:shrug:

Don't have the A55 but do use the tammy 90 on a A200 & A500. It's a cracking sharp macro and portrait lens. In fact, shooting older folk, it can be to sharp but that can be fixed in post processing.

I don't have an a55, but I'm a big fan of the Tammy 90. For the price, it's very very hard to beat.

The downside on an a55 would be the noise whilst focussing would make it a bad choice for video (unless using an external mic, of course).

HI John thanks for you reply i will let you know when i get one thanks again.

I use tamron 90mm on my a200 very good indeed focussing a tad slow but for macro your better off manual anyway, is the a550 evf if so and you use off camera flash be aware the viewfinder can go black it's s known issue

There are a number of 3rd party triggers that allow room to put up the built-in flash at the same time. This solves the problem of the EVF not gaining up because it can't "see" that flash is being used.
