Any Sonos aficionado's on TP offer advice on using Sonos play 1?
I have been considering purchasing one of the above but my knowledge is quite limited on them, I'm told the speaker is good quality.
I have a large collection of music on my tablet and pc, I also like to listen to some of the international radio stations via a app on my tablet (Tune in radio) .

Would I be able to listen/stream Internet radio from my tablet to Sonos play 1 from the tablet using the tune in radios app on my tablet?

I know Spotify premium would do the same plus all the other music available but I'm not sure I want to pay £9.99 per month.

Thanks

Sorry, ignore above post, I just found out sonos comes with the tunein radio app preconfigured.

Hi , I have a play bar and 2 play 1's as surrounds , the sound quality is very good, actually very very good, but I can't really see the point in just getting one speaker as you will have no stereo separation, get 2 play 1's mate , you will be blown away!
You can stream from itunes , spotify , as well as all dab radio stations .

Getting two at once a wee bit too much on pension will need to wait a month or two for the second one unfortunately

Worth while looking to see if there are any offers on a "pair" of them - when I was looking around, there were offers on if you bought a pair of them together - not a huge saving, but better in your pocket than theirs - could be worth waiting a while to be able to buy both together if you can save...

One thing I would add Frank, you need to listen to them and decide if you like the sound quality from them, it's a very personal thing and what one person likes another may not - don't get me wrong, they are good speakers, but you need to listen to them to make sure that you like the sound quality from them...

Thanks Andy, going to visit a friend who has a sonos system, I'll get him to give me a demo.

That sounds like a great plan, especially if he has the Sonus 1 play speakers - if he has a pair, then listen to one and then the pair and see the difference.

Also, take some of your music - no point listening to his music, that may not be your taste - take music you like to listen to / know well / favourite song, it really makes a difference. :)

So is a single play 3 better than a single play 1 ?
