Beginner Sometimes All You Have is Your Phone

I think of the money I spend on equipment, and all the bad shots I've taken. Then I get a pretty good one with my phone, which, I think, may need to have the lens cleaned.

There is no such thing as a bad shot of your kid.

I like the perspective introduced by the wide angle of the phone lens, we can see that he is a small child but the big arm and ginormous cup reinforce this but not in a negative way just lead in the eye. Good isolation provided by the window light as well, wrapping the portrait up softly.

Thanks. I think close-ups are fine, but often, a wider shot is better.
