I wasn't sure where to post this. I was filming some mountain biking today with my 550D and after about an hour a little red thermometer started flashing on the live display. I was filming for that hour with a couple of 5minute breaks during filming. It was set to 24fps 1080p. When it flashed Magic lantern was saying the CMOS temp was only 35degrees. Was it this that was over heating or was it something else? I've never had it happen before so thought I'd ask. I think I may have been filming too much at once but I'm unsure what actually over heated, it's ok now.
Also, I tried HDR video using Magic lantern,. It alternates ISO between frames and it flickers while it's recording (it's meant to do that), but what I'm asking is will that flickering disappear with post editing the video or is it something that will always be there? I've never tried the HDR video function with Magic Lantern so I'm clueless about it...Just to add I was not using the HDR video setting when I had the problem above.
Cheers.
