Hi all.
You have to look hard, and this sound odd I know, but there's a weird something going on in this shot. (Funny little white squares!)
Shot in RAW and converted using Sony software.
I think it might have something to do with the in-camera sharpening

Posted a cropped version also.

Anyone know what's happened?

Just looks like reflections of the water, were you using flash ?

Jus looks like reflection from the flash in the water droplets.

Probably the brightness and refraction has caused the wierdness

its the highlights in the water drops reflecting the flasg, take it the flash head was rectangular as this to me is the reason for the "squares"

its just water droplets isn't it! nothing of concern! keep up the good work!

very nice pic BY THE WAY!

Crumbs, that were some quick replies!!!

Yep, was using the built in flash.....

THANKS guys :woot:

It looks like a reflection of your onboard flash, focussed by water droplets of a particular size and bounced back like "red eye".
Sony are renowned for applying very little in camera sharpening, so unless you sharpened it in IDC I doubt it's that.

(Cheers Ricky  )

Thanks spannerdude!

Speaking of red eye, the a300 is very poor at red eye reduction. Even when red eye flash is turned on.

One thing my ex Canon 400D had over the a300 is there was never any red eye....
