Much in the same way as Grendel's thread recently...
I was styaing at a hotel in Bromsgrove (just south of Brimingham) as part of my work and someone had a clone of my credit card and used it to make a cash withdrawal from an ATM of $500 CAD (~£240). The then tried another $200 CAD - this time it was declined.
First I heard was my bank ringing me. At first I thought it was a scam, so I hung up. The then sent me a txt, so I rang them back (usual number), and they told me all about it.
I have to fill in a questionnaire about my PIN and send it back to them with the card (chopped in half).
I actually have two cards at the moment, as the current one expires at the end of Nov. I will of course send both back. They are going to issue me with a new card and number.
On top of all that, work has been rubbish this week, and I got a tyre puncture on the way home. That means two new tyres at £130-£140 a corner...
Life is good. Not.
