My wife works as the network manager in the school just down the road from us and she came home a couple of weeks ago asking if I could do some photos of the various sports teams in the school which could then be sold to the parents for a nominal sum, basically the cost of the print plus about 50p. As the place is strapped for cash I agreed to it and went down there last week for just over an hour, fifteen teams in total and plenty of rowdy kids to sort out, as I finished I said to the teacher that I would get the images to him on disc within a couple of days, all ready for printing. His answer? "Okay" and then he walked off without even a thank you. Ignorant git.
Anyway, yesterday Jan said that he was having problems getting them printed, he was trying to do it on the school laser printer which Jan wasn't too happy about as the ink/toner costs a fortune and it comes out of her budget. To cut a long story short I ordered a 6x4 of each so the kids could decide which ones they wanted, this was done through Photobox and they arrived this morning. Jan took them to the school to give to this teacher along with the receipt for £3.60 (I didn't charge for the P&P as I had another print in the order) and his reaction was "I didn't order these, who's going to pay for them?" No thank you, nothing.
I'm in a good mind to ask for the disc back but it is the kids that lose out as they are now expecting the photos. And to think this is the calibre of person teaching my kids these days. Manners and common courtesy cost b****r all.
