Hi All,

I had some great news yesterday that I feel I need to share.

After almost 2 years since I applied to become an adoptive parent my wife and I were finally approved.

So after 10 years our dream of starting a family is just around the corner and I can't wait.

So Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.. :D

Thanks everyone...... as you can probably imagine were really excited, but feeling a little nervous now. Especially as their is news of a possible match already and should know by the end of the week. :eek:

Congratulations! That really is fantastic news. One of my colleagues has just become a mummy to a beautiful daughter via adoption. A very scary time, but very exciting too!

Thanks again everyone your comments and thoughts are really appreciated........

and with regards the batteries being charged Gilly thats a definate.... the only thing is i'm not sure what the situation is regards showing the photos, social services may not allow it because of potential risk to the child from the birth family, but if I can I will certainly be putting my portrait skills to the test and up for review :D
