Right, i have had my sigma 70-300 for a fair while now and it was good at first but now i want something better.

I have been looking at Canon 70-200mm L f/4 but a few people suggested i should look at the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 hsm macro II. Does anyone have any real experience with either of these lenses.

What would you guys suggest or recommend?

Anybody able to offer some help/advice?

I looked at the Canon 70-200 f2.8 / f4 (IS & non IS) and ended up with the Sigma 24-70 AND the 70-200. So far I've had no reason to regret my descision :)

Can i ask why you chose the Sigma in the end? Do you have any sample shots of the quality?

I wasn't after IS & after looking at reviews/asking questions I decided that the price difference didn't match the difference in capabilities/results.

A random selection of 24-70 / 70-200 shots here and mainly 70-200 here. none have been edited/sharpened (or binned :bonk:) , they're just test galleries.

One of my favourite shots with the 70-200, it looks rather nice on my 1920x1200 monitor :)
