Currently having issues with sharp images appearing soft on web stuff.

Im using photobucket for them currently so i suspect the way they may compress them could cause issues.

However i know some dont so the way i am dealing with it must be a contributing factor, usually i use a simple programe picassa purely to reduce them to 800 pixels so they are small files and fast uploads.

So side by side is there alot of difference in the two pics? ones the large file uploaded ones a 800 pixel version

I know alot use flikr but been trying to stay away from it because of all of the twinkly star award crap that generally annoys me.

for time though ive found its alot easy to simply export to folder in one go.

Ive been trying to keep the work load down but when people have said images are soft when I know they are not its been bugging me.

need to adjust the work flow and find another way that is as easy long term but doesnt b****r the images up

1st image is sharper - better contrast and colour too.

Easy enough to set up a batch process to resize and sharpen in PS. Never used PIcasa though, but I'd expect its doable.

I would forget about stuff like photobucket and flickr - get yourself a domain name and some hosting - and be in control of your pictures. They're worth it! :)
