Hi all
I have a black tie event coming up and i have had lots of advice about keeping the lighting simple so I was just going to use 2 lights one with a soft box and one with a umbrella. Now the thing is the biggest soft box I have is a 60x60cm and I have been looking at getting some bigger one's, two I have been looking had are a rectangular 80x120cm and a 120cm octagonal. Would I be better off with one of these two are do you have a better size for me to use.
many thanks

If you're only ever going to Shoot couples/singles stood up... then the rectangle, otherwise I'd go with the octagonal one. It also appears more natural in the eyes as it's almost round, square ones (or rectangular ones) for me look less natural

(By 'natural' I mean imitating the Sun - which is round!!!)

120 is a big b****r too, I only use a 100 which is enough I find

Cheers DD I think i will go for a octagonal that way if any one wants group shots we will be covered.I might cut it down to a 100cm.
