Softbox & Shoot Through Umbrellas?

Hi guys,

I'm after a softbox and shoot through umbrella to fit my Elinchrom lights (EL 500). The biggest issue being that Elinchrom take 7mm diameter rods whilst the standard is 8mm?

I'm also potentially looking to sell these at some point and buy a new studio setup as the 500w are a bit too powerful at times for my small studio, anyone got any suggestions? :)

7mm is less common, but they're not hard to get. And there are plenty of softboxes available with Elinchrom adapter rings too. Lastolite? http://www.lastolite.com/ezybox.php

that one, for general use, as I have two Elinchrom 500s with silver brollys currently and its far too harsh for my small studio really.

thoughts on this one please?

I'm sure they will be fine. Double diffuser too. But at that price they will not be the easy-up/easy-down type.
