Hi guys,

I currently use 2 Canon 580EX II's and an old school Canon 430EX with umbrellas. I am looking into buying a couple of softboxes for my kit an was wondering how to attach them to the flash guns and which soft boxes represent the best value for money.

Any help would be great :D

Have a look at flash in the pans gear,he is a member on here.

Lastolite Ezybox works well (brollys are cheaper though)

I used to live in Cententary Mill on New Hall Lane. I've moved up in the world since then though.

Another vote for FITP here. He'll sort you out with what you need.

While we have the attention of a Prestonian though, how do you fancy coming along to Preston Photographic Society? Nikon Dave and I are members and can highly recommend it. It's not for everyone of course but give it a try.

We currently have about 65 member ranging from mid 20's through to about 80 odd although as with most camera clubs the average age is probs above 60.

We meet every week on a Thursday night from 7:45 to 9:45 at Fulwood Conservative club between the months of september and May.

We have monthly competitions with 5 categories which are traditional prints, B&W prints, Colour prints, open projected and a monthly theme. The competitions are judged by an external judge who gives a critique of all the images. There is no pressure to enter the comps if it's not what you are in to.

We also have presentations from various photographers about different styles of photography. Some are very very good and really informative, others can be dull as hell, again it depends what you are in to.

Finally, we actually use our cameras as well with monthly studio portrait sessions and regular outings around the North West.

Check out the website if you fancy seeing a bit more. Preston Photographic Society
